Lesson 10:

Called to Believe

God's Truth

It is God that equips us to do good work for his glory.

Vocabulary

  • Believe: to have confidence or faith in what is true
  • Pitch: to propose a solution to a problem

Now may the God of peace—who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood — may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him for ever and ever! Amen. Hebrews 13: 20-21

Group Discussion

  • How has God equipped you to do good work?
  • Why did you choose your project idea?
  • What difference do you expect your project will make?

Application

A good pitch should have the following elements:

  1. Who you are
  2. Why you chose this project (Your Story)
  3. An enticing solution with a call to action, which is something you are asking the investor to do.

Write your pitch down.

Next Steps / Life work

The number of words you speak does not determine whether one is a good communicator or not. It’s about whether or not what you said made sense to the people in your audience. So to help you become better at communicating, brainstorm answers to the following questions:

  1. Who is the best communicator you know?
  2. What makes them great?
  3. What is one thing you can do this week to work on your own communication?
